Well I started blogging in 2006, yes I know that this blog is relatively young. In 2010 I took some time out from blogging, it wasn't the best of years for me. When I did eventually find my way back to blogging I couldn't find my blog... that's a bit of a fib actually. I could find my blog but I couldn't remember my password or username etc. So after weeks of banging my head against a brick wall and coming away with only a headache I decided to start a new blog. You can find the old one here.
I'm a bit of an adventurer, I've tracked Polar Bears in the Artic, swum with great white sharks and worked in a city at the hieght of terrorist attacks. I was once nearly squished by a 15 foot python, but that's another story.
At the end of 2010 I had a stroke, aged 50, not what I was anticipating for my half century. I was driving into work one morning when I felt unwell, I had a choice of heading to the office or heading for the A&E dept. I chose the latter. It's not easy trying to drive when you've just had a stroke and I think I might have left a few other motorists that morning a bit miffed.. so to those I am very sorry. After much prodding, poking and scanning they came up with no idea as to why I had suffered my stroke. Just one of those things. I'm mended as much as I ever will be now and whilst on the whole I am fit and well the stroke has left me suffering from fatigue and with a slightly wobbly right arm and leg. It won't stop the adventures though.
His Lordship, my husband and I have been together for 34 years, married for 31 of those years. We have two lovely children, both grown up now and with families of their own. I have four wonderful grandchildren and enjoy every precious moment that I spend with them. I don't often blog about my children and grandchildren, their stories are their own and I suppose if they wanted to share them, they would be blogging too. I do however on occassion blog about Mrs Beeton, my mother in law. She is in her nineties and her exploits are just too funny to miss out on.
Welcome to my world ;o}
